"Blue signifies the atmosphere, free of pollution.
Yellow signifies the wealth found in its products: cereals, root vegetables, vegetables, fruits, and derivatives of its livestock.
Green signifies the beauty found in its natural plains and hills which are in danger of extinction because of burning and logging caused by people who transport these to the city to utilize them in legitimate ways or as wood for construction. In the center the coat of arms of the parish is found."

"In the superior portion, the cornucopia with the name of the parish, date of foundation, and its products is found.
In the lower part in a ribbon is the legend "POR TI PROSPERA LA PATRIA"
In the interior, we have the atmosphere free from pollution and its hilly landscape, with the principal hills: Tari, Mulapacana Grande, Mulapacana Pequeño, Borma, and Burazhun.
The Gordeleg River with its principal ravines that begin in its hilly landscape.
Its flora: the black cherry tree and walnut tree which bear fruit and are sources of wood, along with the corn plant which is a principal source of nourishment for its settlers.
Its fauna: which are in danger of extinction, the deer, eagle, and the variety of butterflies.
The Historic Center, declared as the cultural heritage of the parish, is made up of the chapel, convent, and the former school "Tomas Ordoñez", now Zhidmad School.
The cow represents livestock-herding, a principal source of income for its inhabitants.
A horse with its rider signifies the traditional game of skirmish in its main festival of Saint Michael the Archangel.
Finally, a pick and shovel, tools utilized in working the fields to sow and harvest their products."
