Jutland (Danish: Jylland) is the peninsula stretching northwards from continental Europe.
Jan Oskar Engene, 10 Mar 1996
The flag was designed in 1975 by visual artist Per Kramer. Its symbolism is explained as follows: "The two blue stripes illustrate the sea around Jutland, the red-brown symbolise the heather of the heath, and the green stands for the colour of the forests. The cross-sword and the serration are the symbolic description of the Jutlandic fighting spirit." The colour shades are defined as Pantone colours 293 (blue), 356 (green) and 1805 (reddish brown). When speaking of this flag, the adjectiv Jutlandic is spelled jydsk(e) instead of current jysk(e) in Danish; this was introduced by Per Kramer himself to denote that Jutland "is where past and present meet" and does seem to have caught on according to Ydmyghed blog.
The flag is indeed sparsely used: the only two examples currently found online outside the flag shops are a Web graphic from 2007 in Ydmyghed blog
and a photo from 2011 in Preben Heide´s website.

The flag proposal is an inversion of the Danish flag: A white field with a red cross. The proportions are the same as for Dannebrog: 28 : 37 (12-4-12 :12 - 4 - 21).
The white and red flag surfaced in 1972, but I am not sure whether it is still in use (or whether it ever was).

West Jutland (Danish: Vestjylland) is a region which is defined in several ways, but always comprises the territory of Vestjylland UNESCO Global Geopark and is included in current Folketing constituency of West Jutland, making its western part. Its rarely used flag is derived from the national flag of Denmark by repainting the field into green. Currently, the only known photos are those presented by a manufacturer.
