Shield parted per bend sinister, above right Azure a lion issuant Or armed and tongued Gules, beneath left Argent a fess wavy Azure and a heart Gules in base.
Meaning:
Lion and heart are symbolising the historical affiliation with county and district of Lüneburg. Both charges also appear in the arms of Lüneburg city and county. The position of the lion is symbolising that district and county are superior to the municipality. The fess wavy is representing Aller River, it is W-shaped, as "W" is the first letter of the municipality's name. The heart also alludes to the fact that the municipality is "in the heart of the county". Most things have no longer a meaning, as the municipality was transferred to a different county.
