    Baumholder Associated Municipality Coat of Arms

    Shield parted er pall reversed embowed; above right chequered of Gules and Argent; above left Or a lion rampant Azure, armed and tongued Gules; beneath Or on top of a triplemount Vert an elder of the same, flanked on either side by an elder blossom Argent, orle of eight pieces Gules-Or-Azure-Or-Gules-Or-Azure-Or.
    Meaning: The 1st quarter displays the arms of the Farther County of Sponheim, the 2nd quarter a differentiation of those of the Counts of Veldenz. The base displays a canting elder (German: Holunder, shortly: Holder) with blossoms and is a differentiation of the arms of the namesake city.. The orle is stressing the status of an associated municipality. Seat of the entity is the namesake city.

    Flag and banner were approved on 9 November 1984. The arms were approved in 1965 by Minister of Interior of Rheinland-Pfalz.
