The flag of the university has a white field with its emblem in colour in the
centre. The emblem comprises a light blue lozenge in the centre of which
is an open book and rising sun, superimposed on which is a black cog-wheel and
red five-pointed star. Below are the words Ensino (teaching),
Investigacão (investigation) and
Produção (production/output) and a scroll containing the name of the
university below the name of the country in Portuguese.
