Sigma Pi was established as Tau Phi Delta at Vincennes University in Indiana in 1897. The flag shown on the fraternity's website is dark blue with a swallowtail, the Greek letters of the name in the center in white, and ten yellow stars arranged 1-2-3-4 in the upper hoist. Baird's Manual describes a different flag, lavender with the letters sigma and pi and the fraternity coat of arms.

Based on www.sigmapi2.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=76&Itemid=198 the flag is lavender in color, not in blue. According to www.sigmapi.org/pdfs/manuals/newMemEdPPT/Week4.ppt (slide 9), "The colors of the Fraternity are lavender and white with gold as an auxiliary. Purple is used because lavender is not a heraldic color."
