From the meeting minutes of May 12, 1994:
"Mayor Stephenson presented a
new City flag with the City logo on it."
I was told by the helpful Public
Works Supervisor that the city has used the same logo since the time of his
arrival in the city, 1995. If the city still has the flag it is stored away, and
is not hanging anywhere public meaning it is the former city flag. It is known
that this logo depicts, on a hill, two oil derricks and two cowboys on
horseback, showing its present industry and history. Behind this is a basin.
Overlooking these are the mountains and a setting sun. The logo is in circular
format, and has the city and state name in its ring.
