Wellsville adopted a flag in 2019. It was designed by Garrett Johnson, a
digital image of which was uploaded by the designer on Reddit.
On a blue
field, the Wellsville Mountains stretch across the flag. Below is the name,
Wellsville City.

These city council minutes from March 20, 2019, describe Mr. Johnson's
initial presentation of the flag:

adoption.

The motion which approved the flag on August 7, 2019 can be seen at
https://www.utah.gov/pmn/files/527367.pdf. As I assumed, it definitely
appears that the ratio is 3:5.

Two flags were used by the city before. The previous flag was adopted in 2003
and is diagonally divided in green and gold. On the gold is a green picture of
Jim Bridger aiming a rifle. In the background are pine trees and Indians. The
image of Jim Bridger comes from the city’s letterhead. On the green is gold text
reading “Wellsville City 1856”.
Not much is known about the first flag,
but it is known that it featured a tabernacle. Already being worn, it was
changed to prevent a lawsuit on the grounds of the separation of church and
state.
