Description of the flag

The flag is similar in design to the Tennessee state flag, featuring a red field with a blue strip on the fly side. In the center of the red field is the county seal.

The seal consists of the county outlines in white, with the locations of the county's reservoirs in it. The county lays over a blue field with a red bar with white borders and stars on it. The ring of the seal has the county and state names, with the county's establishment year bisected by the names.
