The seal shows a yellow maple leaf with a depiction of the Stourbridge Lion steam locomotive. It was transported over to the United States when the Delaware & Hudson Canal Company purchased it, and began using it on their newly built tracks in Honesdale, which became the first commercial railroad in America, traveling from Honesdale to Seelyville.
