A photo of the flag along with information was sent to me by the Township's
administrative assistant. It was adopted in 1971 as part of a township flag
contest. The design was created by Debra Synder, a local resident.
The
flag is in swallowtail design similar to the Ohio flag, only with the upper and
lower edges being wavy as opposed to being straight. The flag is made up of
seven horizontal bars of alternating blue and white. On the hoist side is a
yellow half circle. Inside the circle is a tree with a green beaver next to it,
which is what the township is named after. Under the tree is a golden banner
with the establishment year on it. Under the banner is the township and state
names.
