Pirate's Cove is a private resort community in Dare County, North Carolina, falling within the bounds of the city of Manteo. (www.pirates-cove.com/)
The flagpole at the entrance to the community was flying three flags when we drove past it: American flag, North Carolina flag, and the Pirate's Cove community flag. The Pirate's Cove flag featured the community logo centered on a white field. The logo is a white circle outlined in black. A black, white, and light blue symbol at the center of the logo could be intended to represent a pirate whose beard is blowing in the wind. Arched over the central symbol are the words "PIRATE'S COVE" in black capital letters, flanked by two yellow stars outlined in black.
