Description of the Flag

Tilghman Island is an unincorporated island community and census-designated place located in Talbot County.

First introduced in late 2021 by the Tilghman Island Country Store. The flag is a blue field with a depiction of a blue crab, a common crab species which can be found in the Chesapeake Bay. Inside of the crab is a fishing boat out on the bay as the sun is setting over the horizon. Under the crab is a banner with the community name, with the "I" in Tilghman replaced with the outline of Tilghman island. under the island name is the establishment year, which was when bought by Matthew Tilghman in 1752, which is whom the island is named after.
