The flag for the town of Nashville, Indiana was created in mid-1981 by artist C. Carey Cloud. The background of the flag is divided horizontally by a thick line. The top field is light blue, and the bottom half is dark blue. In the center is an artist's paint palette, representing beauty, and in the middle of the palette is an oak leaf, representing strength. In the upper left corner is a dogwood blossom to represent faith and loyalty. The light blue field represents the sky and the dark blue field represents Brown County's hills.
Nashville is a town in Brown County, Indiana. It is the only municipality in
the county and is the county seat. It was founded in 1836, incorporated in 1876,
and currently has a population of 1,256 as of the latest census. Nashville is
known for their rolling hills, Vermont-like landscape, and their roots in art.
