The flag of Sarıçam (photo, photo, photo, photo, photo) is white with the municipality's emblem. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
The emblem (description) was chosen in August 2014 by the municipal administration among four proposals.
The Turkish flag symbolizes the everlasting belonging of the town to Turkey.
The turquoise colour is dereived from the colour of the sea bathing Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Turquoise represent intuitive, srong-minded, self-confident and opne-minded people who are interested in staying young and dynamic.
The red colour represents mobility, dynamism and youth.
The emblem blends the two colours, joined by a gray tone.
The motto reads "Fertility Gate", recalling that the town, founded on fertile land, aimed at being one of the most developed, prosperous and happy places in Adana Province and Turkey.
