Municipalities:
I checked the with the governor office of the department and I
found out that the department of San Miguel flag, should be red
on top, white in the middle and blue on bottom, with the emblem
in the middle.
Fred Drews, 21 October 2000
According to <www.alcaldiasanmiguel.gob.sv>:
Dov Gutterman, 14 April 2004
As it said in the description, the upper stripe is RED. It has
three horizontal stripes: the upper stripe is red, and symbolize
the brotherhood love that distinguuish the miguelians. The blue
stripe symbolize the liberty inheireted from the ancesters,
and the white stripe in center symbolize the wish of peace.
This correct arrangament was already reported by Frederic Drew
and published in Flag Report 20.
