The source website shows the central circle is outlined black and this is supported by Lloyds 1904 and 1912 [1] and by the cap badge appearing in Collectors Corner. The company originated in the 1890s being operated by F.B. Walqvist who sold it to J.E. Mann in 1918 who in turn restructured it as the Nya Ångfartygs A/B Heimdal. I cannot find anything on the company thence until the early 1950s when it is shown by Lloyds as being operated by Rudolf Hellberg who appears to have operated from the same address as Manne. US Navy 1961 [8] shows a similar flag for Hellberg but with a larger circle though this may mean nothing. Whether it is the original flag, despite the name change of the company, or a version adopted by Hellberg for his own use as he is shown as owning a vessel as well as operating those of Nya Ångfartygs A/B Heimdal, is unclear. J.E. Manne also had a similar flag but with an "M" although in this case the circle is shown as smaller, both by the cap badge in Collectors Corner and [even more so] by US Navy 1961.

Helmsig & Grimm

Helmsig & Grimm is the wrong name. This should read Svenska Lloyd Rederi A/B [as is shown by Stewart], also known as Swedish Lloyd, and was adopted about World War 1 to replace the previous flag of yellow with a blue saltire apparently to avoid confusion with the Russian Naval Ensign.

Helsingborgs Hamn A/B

Formed 1988 to operate the port and owned by the city. The flag as shown by a Collectors Corner cap badge is white with, what I take to be, a stylised "H" [see h118] with the badge appearing to show a darker and brighter blue but going by the design appearing on the tug "Kullen" and the logo on their website a softer shade seems likely. The tugs themselves are under the ownership of Helsingborgs Bogser A/B and from around the mid 1990s they have been under the managerment of Bogser Team Oresund A/B and a photo of "Kullen" in August 2006 shows that they are now using the manger's livery with the flag being white, a pair of blue wavy lines, the black legend 'BOGSER TEAM ORESUND AB" with the words decreasing in size and underneath the black outline of a hook attached to a black chain which is drawn out straight as an underline to the bottom words [see b635].

Hemisphere Steamship Corporation

Had A/B Bellis of Stockholm as agents. Brown 1978 shows a blue flag with a broad white horizontal band bearing a blue "H" and domiciles the country as Liberia but that would refer to the sole ship's registration.

Hillerström & Co A/B

Hillerström image contributed by Neale Rosanoski, 9 February 2007

Based Malmö the Collectors Corner cap badge flag shows as blue with a white saltire surmounted by an undefined white circle bearing a blue "H". The company appears to originate from Ture Hillström who was operating from the early 20th century at least, both names being shown by Lloyds pre-World War 2 but fading out in the mid-1960s.

Based Stockholm with a blue swallowtail bearing a gold horn ensigned with a gold plant of 3 leaves it is a complete mystery to me with no leads found to date.
