Outside Link:After my annual domestic roadtrips, I have sometimes sent you local Swedish
flags. This year, I didn’t encounter anything really spectacular or
unusual, but at least I noticed that FOTW lacks the municipal flag of
Strömstad, which I visited, so here it is.
My sketch is based on my photos in combination with the
picture and
description of the coat of arms as featured on the
municipality’s homepage.
The colours in my sketch are the ones provided by the municipality itself,
but the font and the proportions of the flag are approximate. (not being an
vexillologist myself, I don’t even know if there are standard proportions
that flags normally adhere to).
Attached is my sketch, and in case you could have any use for that, two
photos of the flag flying from the town’s central square.
Hopefully this can be of use. I enjoy trying to return the favours that good
web sites such as yours provide.
