This unofficial flag for Bohuslän was designed as a private initiative by
someone who probably was not aware of the existence of the
official flag for Bohuslän.
The flag was reported in Göteborgs-Posten, a Swedish newspaper, in 1997. It
had been used in Grebbestad since 1996. In 2001 it is reported to have been seen
at Gullholmen too.
According to the article in Göteborgs-Posten, the red colour stands for
granite, while the two blue shades symbolize sky and sea. The image above is
based on the description from the newspaper.

And also at < http://www.flickr.com/photos/akajos/2715874499/ >. It may
be just a personal proposal, even a whimsical one with no consequence,
but it is an actual cloth real-world item.
These photos by Christer Barregren, Flickr user 'Akajos', apparently at
his father's. Any of them the designer/proponent, or just supporters of
the proposed flag?
It is a scandinavian flag in Swedish proposals with red cross and blue
background, it being lighter in the top quarters and darker in the bottom
ones.

flag exhibited in a(n online) shop:

There is also the colour wimpel, or "stripe wimpel", as called in
Swedish:

All of these examples reveal that the light blue is actually much
lighter.
