The Central Province is one of the provinces of the Solomon Islands, covering the Russell Islands, Nggella (Florida Islands) and Savo Island. Its area comprises 615 km² and had a population of 21,577 as of 1999. The capital is Tulagi.
The flag of the Central Province is dark blue. In the canton are six white
six-pointed stars, which are arranged in a pyramid (1+2+3). In the fly is an
oval sign. The sign shows a landscape of a lagoon. In the background are two
black islands, each with two palm trees, in the foreground is a black and white
shield held in front of four spears. Dark blue presents the Pacific Ocean. The white stars represent the six
parish / municipalities of the Central Province (Aeaun, Mbanika, Nggela,
Russell, Savo, Tulagi).

The Policy Statement of Central Province 2013 (from
http://www.mpgis.gov.sb/index.php/provinces/central-islands/resources) gives
a big and detailed image of the Central provincial flag. I believe in the upper and lower part of the centerpiece are the
letters C & P for Central Province? The flag used in the Games (http://www.sportingpulse.com/gallery.cgi?g=2452&e=3511&et=1&c=1-3511-0-0-0)
seems obviously to be the one shown in the Provincial Ministry site. On the
other hand the emblem of the 2013 Games to be held in Central province from
http://www.sportingpulse.com/gallery.cgi?g=2452&e=3511&et=1&c=1-3511-0-0-0
incorporates an emblem formerly shown on
FOTW.

This flag was described as dark blue. In the canton are six white five-pointed stars, which are arranged in a pyramid (1+2+3). In the fly is an oval sign. The sign shows a landscape of a lagoon. In the background are two green islands, in the foreground is a person with a huge black and white mask, which is decorated with nine black feathers. Before the masked man is a portrait of a turtle. The nine feathers symbolizing the nine islands of the province (Aeaun, Gavutu, Mbanika, Nggela Islands, Pavuvu, Russell Islands, Savo, Tanambogo, Tulagi). Dark blue presents the Pacific Ocean. The white stars represent the six parish / municipalities of the Central province (Aeaun, Mbanika, Nggela, Russell, Savo, Tulagi).
