http://www.vexillographia.ru/russia/subjects/towns/sharkan.htm. It is a
vertical tricolor green-white-yellow an 8-pointed star in the center, upper and
side points red, lower points black, and a seal in its center.

A previous version of the flag used the same design as the current flag, but ratio 1:2.

An earlier flag was white with the 8-pointed star and seal placed on a yellow-edged blue shield in the center of the flag.
