Vel'skiy County became Vel'skiy Municipal District in 2025 and all its
municipalities were dissolved. Its symbols were adopted on 14.12.2005.
A
rectangular panel with a width to length ratio of 2:3, reproducing the fields
and figures of the coat of arms in yellow, white, red and black colors.

In a gold field, a lying scarlet barrel with gold hoops and black streaks of tar
from under the gold bushing. In the silver quarter, a scarlet ornament in the
form of an oblique lattice with open rhombuses in knots and double scarlet
oblique crosses in the cells. In the free part is the coat of arms of the
Arkhangel'skaya region.
