In 2013, Zemun reintroduced the 2005-2009 coat of arms. The flag was modified
accordingly.
Article 5 of the Municipal Statutes, adopted by the
Municipal Assembly on 2013-09-20, states:
The Civic Municipality of Zemun has its coat of arms and its flag. The coat of arms of the Civic Municipality of Zemun has a tetragonal ("French") shield azure; a branched tree vert rises from a trimount vert in the base of the shield; a deer lodged proper and turned toward the tree is on the dexter side; a lion rampant Or holding a saber argent in the raised dexter paw is on the sinister side; a golden mural crown with five merlons is placed above the shield. The supporters are two armoured warriors each holding the shield of arms with one hand and holding a shield gules charged with a cross between four firesteels argent in the other hand. The shield surmounts a blue ribbon with the golden Cyrillic inscription Земун (Zemun). The flag of the Civic Municipality of Zemun is horizontal, with proportions 1:2. The flag is white, charged with the coat of arms of Zemun.Article 5 of the Municipal Statutes, adopted by the Municipal Assembly on 2019-10-28, states the same. Note that the tree, which shall be blazoned as proper, is now incorrectly blazoned as vert - or, if it is meant to be vert, is now incorrectly depicted as proper.

has appeared at the ongoing anti-corruption protests in Serbia. It was carried
by students who marched from Belgrade to Kragujevac in order to join the rally
in honor of the Statehood Day (15th February). The first of the photos currently

The municipality of Zemun changed its flag and modified its coat of arms in 2005. Used both indoors and outdoors, the flag, of unknown proportions, is white with the municipal greater coat of arms.
Ivan Sarajčić, 25 January 2008The coat of arms of Zemun was granted when the town was part of
Austria-Hungary. The deer and the lion with sabre are derived from the arms of

The municipal flag of Zemun is in proportion 1:2, horizontally divided blue-green. The flag was adopted in December 2003 and is based on the colours of the municipal coat of arms. The ratio and the simplicity of the flag is unusual for the modern Serbian local flags. However, there is no regulation that would require municipalities in Serbia to follow the square flag model.
