Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base wavy a throughout bridge Argent masoned Sable with three arches, on centre two waterspout fountains Azure in fess spitting water Argent, on central chief a sword flamant Gules in pale balancing a pair of scales of the same. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE CALDAS DE VIZELA (SÃO MIGUEL E SÃO JOÃO)".
Meaning:
The fountains are canting elements, as "caldas" means spa. A fountain appears on the arms of both former municipalities. Sword and scales are representing the former São Miguel Commune, bridge and base wavy the former São João Commune.

Caldas de Vizela is one of those communes of Vizela Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 11072 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 7,6 km².

Meaning:
Sword and scales are an attribute of St. Michael, local patron saint and name giver of the commune. The fountains are canting elements, as "caldas" means "spa". The base wavy probably refers to Vizela River.

São Miguel das Caldas de Vizela Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vizela Municipality; it had 7222 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 4,1 km². The commune was divested from Guimarães Municipality on 19 March 1998.
