Shield Or; at dexter an eradicated pine tree Vert fruited Gules with tree gum Or, collected by a scoop Gules; at sinister an eradicated cork oak Vert peeled Gules with acorns Gules, in chief a Paschal Lamb couchant Argent in a radiant nimbus Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "S. JOÃO DA BOA VISTA".
Meaning:
The Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, local patron saint and name giver of the commune.
