Coat of arms

Shield Or, an eradicated pine Vert fruited Gules, in chief a sword flambant Gules balanced by a pair of scales of the same. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black upper case letters "PINHEIRO DE ÁZERE".
Meaning:
The pine (Port.: pinheiro) is a canting element. Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.
