Shield Vert, a granary Argent with windows Vert and roof Gules, in chief a Paschal Lamb couchant Argent nimbed Or, in base a hexagon Argent charged with four flames Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA CHÃ - S.JOÃO BAPTISTA".
Meaning:
The Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, local patron saint and name giver of the commune.

Coat of arms

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a throughout aqueduct Argent masoned Sable, in central chief a scallop Or garnished Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA CHÃ - SANTIAGO".
Meaning:
The scallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder, local patron saint and name giver of the commune.
