Shield Argent parted by a saltire Azure, in chief quarter a bee Sable garnished Or, in base quarter a blossom Vert seeded Or, in each other quarter a swallow volant Sable pointing to the centre. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "POIARES - SANTO ANDRÉ".
Meaning:
The saltire is an attribute of St. Andrew, name giver of the commune and local patron saint. Bee and swallows are taken from the arms of Vila Nova de Poiares municipality.

Poiares (Santo André) Commune is one of the four communes of the Vila Nova de Poiares municipality (q.v.); it had 4306 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 27.8 km².
