Shield Argent three triplets of wheat ears Vert tied Gules ordered 2:1, issunt from base wavy Arzure charged with a barrulet wavy Argent a throughout bridge Sable masoned Argent having three different arches. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILA DA PONTE - MONTALEGRE".
Meaning:
The phrase "vila da ponte" means literally "town of the bridge", so simply "bridgetown"; the arms are canting.

Vila da Ponte is one of the 17 communes of Montalegre Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 110 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 16,61 km².
