Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, on fess point a gridiron Vert in fess, on central chief point a mitre Purpure adorned Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SANDE E SÃO LOURENÇO DO DOURO".
Meaning:
The base wavy is a representation of the Douro River. The mitre is an attribute of St. Martin, patron saint of the former Sande Commune. The gridiron is an attribute of St. Lawrence, patron saint and name giver of the former São Lourenço do Douro Commune.

Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SANDE - MARCO DE CANAVESES".
