It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and green.

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, an embattled tower Argent, masoned Sable with port and windows of the same, charged with five 5-point stars Gules in quincunx, on dexter chief point an apple branch Argent fruited Or, on sinister chief point three grain ears Or joined at their stems. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "LEOMIL – MOIMENTA DA BEIRA".

Leomil is one of the 13 communes of Moimenta da Beira Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 1131 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 39,40 km².
