It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a throughout bridge Sable masoned Argent with one arch, on centre a grapevine Vert fruited Purpure between two distaffs Gules in pale with yarns Or, on chief a fleur-de-lis Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MEINEDO".
Meaning:
The bridge is a representation of the local Espindo Bridge, crossing the Sousa River, represented by the blue base wavy. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary, being the local patron saint as Our Lady of the Snows. The distaffs are alluding to the production of linen, the grapevine to viticulture.

Meinedo is one of the nine communes of Lousada Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 3800 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 8,43 km².
