Meaning:
The star iconically refers to this particular mountain range, Serra da Estrela (= Star Range, lit. Mountain Range of the Star).

Presentation of Arcozelo

Arcozelo is one of the ten communes of Gouveia Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 1440 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 24,02 km².
