Shield Or a cogwheel Gules, flanked by two bees Sable on dexter chief and sinister base, and by two grape bunches Purpure leafed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, with inscription in black initials "IDÃES".

Presentation of Idães

Idães is one of the 12 communes of Felgueiras Municipality not really affected by the 2013 changes; it had 2550 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 7,11 km².

Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a grape bunch Or leafed of the same in centre of a lunel Argent, on either chief corner a bee Or, issuant from base a double mount Sable. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "BARROSAS".

Presentation of Barrosas

Barrosas became seat of a municipality in 1836, which was however dissolved already in 1852. restored a bit later but finally dissolved on 31 December 1855 and incorporated into Felgueiras Municipality. It had 6272 inhabitants in 1801 and was a centre of the production of different types of shoes. Barrosas was upgraded to a town (Port.: vila) in 1990, but later, probably in 2013, incorporated into Idães Commune.
