Shield Vert, issuant from base an mount Argent, charged with an pale wavy Azure, charged with three pallets Argent, all of irregular shape, on chief an impending pebble Or gutty of vine. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SEIXO DE ANSIÃES".
Meaning:
The irregular central charge of blue and white is a representation of the local waterfall Cascata da Fraga do Ôla. The pebble (Portuguese: seixo) is a canting element. The purple drops in heraldry usually are wine drops and might thus refer to viticulture.
The style of the drawing is poor heraldry, against what is specified in the law [pt], with both the
mount and the wavy pale represented in a naturalistic (hmmm), not stylised fashion.
