Shield Or, issuant from base wavy of Argent and Azure a mound Vert semy of flax blossoms Argent garnished Azure and flanked by two sheep passant respectant Sable, on chief a cross patty Gules charged with a Greek cross Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and long white scroll, as often used for united communes, reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE PICÃO E ERMIDA".
Meaning:
The arms are basically those of the former Picão Commune with additional sheep from those of the former Ermida Commune.

Presentation of Picão e Ermida

Picão e Ermida is one of the five communes of Castro Daire Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 415 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 15,95 km².

Meaning:
The cross is that one of the Knights of the Order of Christ. The base wavy is a representation of the Vidueiro River.

The arms are Or two sheep Sable passant affronty and an corn cob Vert fruited Or and two ears of rye Vert all tied Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ERMIDA - CASTRO DAIRE".
