Shield Or a fountain Azure playing water of Azure and Argent, in dexter chief a hunting horn Gules, in sinister chief a jug Sable, everything flanked by two flax plants Vert in orle blossomed Azure and crossed per saltire in base. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and long white scroll, as often used by united communes, reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE MAMOUROS, ALVA E RIBOLHOS".
Meaning:
The charges are representations of the former communes: the horn stands for Alva Commune, the fountain for Mamouros Commune, the jug for Ribolhos Commune and the flax plant for both, Alva and Mamouros.

Presentation of Mamouros, Alva e Ribolhos

Mamouros, Alva e Ribolhos is one of the five communes of Castro Daire Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 1188 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 23,65 km².

Shield Purple a fountain Argent playing Argent and Azure,flanked by two flax plants with flowers Argent seeded Or crossed per saltire on base, on chief a sword flamant Or in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short hite scroll,in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "MAMOUROS".
Meaning:
The sword is an attribute of St. Michael the Archangel, the local patron saint. The fountain is a representation of the hot springs of Carvalhal. The flax plants are alluding to the local production of linen.

Shield Or three flax blossoms Azure seeded Argent in fess, on chief two hunting horns Sable intertwined and in fess, on base a barrel Gules with hoops Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "ALVA - CASTRO DAIRE".
Meaning:
The horns are representing the Counts of Alva, former local rulers. The blossoms are symbolising agriculture. The barrel is symbolising viticulture and the local coopers´ craft.

Shield Or two bi-manual saws Azure hafted Gules in saltire, on chief and base flanked by a wooden shoe Sable, at dexter and sinister by a jug Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "RIBOLHOS".
Meaning:
The saws are representing lumber industry as important business line. The position in saltire is alluding to St. Andrew, the local patron saint. Clogs and jugs are representing local crafts based on wood.
