The colour of the flag is unknown.
António Martins-Tuválkin, 7 June 2024
Shield Vert a stone trough Argent flanked by three rye ears Or on each side with their stem tips tied Gules in base, in chief two bees Or striped Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "DORNELAS - BOTICAS"
Meaning:
The word dornelas is an archaic hypochoristic plural of dorna, meaning "tub" or "trough"; it is usually made of cooperage (it has even
as a derivative meaning a particular type of rowboat), not stone. Even so these arms can be said to be partly canting.
