Meaning:
The word "aveleda" doesn't have a lexicographically acknowledged meaning in Portuguese but is is clearly related to "avelã", (= hazelnut). The arms are therefore canting.

Meaning:
The cavaquinho refers to the local origin of this special miniature guitar, brought from Minho to Brazil and Madeira and, from there, to Hawai'i, there afterwards called ukulele, ( for more details see also English WIKIPEDIA).
