Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, aspurwheel Or, in chief two flax blossoms Argent, seeded and lined Azure, ordered per fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "COSSOURADO - BARCELOS".
Meaning:
The commune#s name is derived from "cossoura" (= spurwheel). The wheel might thus be a canting element.
