Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Azure, three fish najant eyed Gules ordered 2:1, the two ones above Or, the other one Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll with inscription in black initials "GUILHADESES".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Vez River, the name giver of the municipality.

Guilhadeses Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Arcos de Valdevez Municipality (q.v.); it had 1119 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 3.0 km².

Shield Or, a bar wavy Azure charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, issuant from bar a bridge Sable masoned Argent having two arches, in central chief a rose Gules leaved and stemmed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "SANTAR - ARCOS DE VALDEVEZ".
Meaning:
The blue barrulets within the bar wavy are representing the rivers Vez, the name giver of the municipality, and Lima. The rose probably is an attribute of Our Lady of Purification, the local patron saint.
