Coat of arms

Shield Vert with base wavy of Azure and Argent, above an open flood-gate Or, in chief a stork passant Argent, armed Or between two rice ears Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "COMPORTA".
Meaning:
The flood-gate (Port.: comporta) is a canting element.
