Shield Gules, two gapevines Or leafed Argent in fess, in chief a scallop Or, in base a cogwheel Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FIGUEIRÓ - SANTIAGO".
Meaning:
The scallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder, name giver of the commune and local patron saint. The grapevines are symbolising agriculture, especially viticulture. The cogwheel is symbolising the increasing importance of industries in the commune.
