Rendufe Commune is one of the 16 communes of Amares Municipality; it had 1124 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 3.1 km². This is one of three communes of the same name in Portugal (recently we had here the diminutive, Rendufinho); the sequence "ufe" is uncommon in Portuguese, and there are 12 communes (among 4261) including it.
