Shield Sable with base reduced wavy Argent a barrulet wavy Azure, on a pillory Argent a lyre Or flanked by two bunches of five oranges Proper leafed Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription of black initials "SÃO MAMEDE DE RIBATUA"
Meaning:
The pillory is a local monument, the lyre refers to the local marching band and the oranges represent the growing of that fruit and the annual orange festival.

São Mamede de Ribatua was one of the ten communes of Alijó Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 586 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 20.11 km².
