Coat of arms

Shield Argent; two amphoras Gules in fess, each one having two bails; in chief a sword Azure in pale, balancing a pair of scales of the same; in base a lyre Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MALHADA SORDA".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.
