Shield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Azure parted by a bridge Argent masoned Sable in fess with four arches sable filled by flames Gules, in chief a fleur-de-lis Argent flanked by a wheat ear at dexter and a grapevine at sinister, both Or leafed Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals: "FORNINHOS".

Forninhos was one of the nine communes of Aguiar da Beira Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 208 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 9,62 km².
