Shield Purpure a dovecote Or with ports Purpure , flanked in chief by two doves Argent addorsed eyed Gules and in base by a heraldic fountain. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "POMBAL - ALFÂNDEGA DA FÉ".
Meaning:
The word "pombal" means "dovecote" and is a canting element.

Pombal was one of the 14 communes of Alfândega da Fé Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 123 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 8,40 km².
