The arms are Vert, a three-arch gateway Argent tiled Azure and topped by a Latin cross Or, in base a plough Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black initials "S. FRANCISCO - ALCOCHETE".

São Francisco Commune is one of the three communes of Alcochete Municipality (q.v.); it had 1128 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 4.21 km².
