Stare Miasto - rural commune, Konin County, Wielkopolskie Voivodship.
Gmina Stare Miasto is a rural gmina (commune) in Konin County, Greater Poland Voivodship, in west-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Stare Miasto, which lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Konin and 92 km (57 mi) east of the regional capital Poznań.
Area: 97.82 sq.km (37.8 sq.mi); Population: 10,355 (2006).

Originally a core of what would become the city of Konin (XIIth Century), which later relocated to more defendable location.
Now, one of the fastest growing communes of Greater Poland.

Arms and flag adopted on March 27, 2003 (resolution # VI/43/2003).
"Arms: on the red shield a golden portal with silver crosses above the entry and the gate.
Within the gate are two golden keys and silver-gold sword, crossed.

Flag: rectangular piece of cloth in the ratio 5:8 composed of three uneven color bands: red-yellow-red. The red, side bands are 1/5 of the width of the flag each.
The Arms are placed centrally on the middle, wide yellow field."
