Originally a core of what would become the city of Konin (XIIth Century),
which later relocated to more defendable location.
Now, one of the fastest growing communes of Greater Poland.
Arms and flag adopted on March 27, 2003 (resolution # VI/43/2003).
"Arms: on the red shield a golden portal with silver crosses above
the entry and the gate.
Within the gate are two golden keys and silver-gold sword, crossed.
Flag: rectangular piece of cloth in the ratio 5:8 composed of three
uneven color bands: red-yellow-red. The red, side bands are 1/5 of the
width of the flag each.
The Arms are placed centrally on the middle, wide yellow field."
